UPDATE-look at updated list of who does and doesn’t use aborted baby cells in food research++++++PRO LIFE GROUPS MADE A DENT WE FOUND OUT TODAY ( A GOOD FRIEND DID MORE RESEARCH) AND PEPSI AND KRAFT NO LONGER DO BUSINESS WITH THE COMPANY THAT USES ABORTED BABY CELLS TO DEVELOP FLAVOR ENHANCERS–BE AWARE THERE ARE SEVERAL VACCINES THAT HAVE ABORTED BABY EMBRYO TISSUE IN THEM…HERE IS THE LIST of who does and doesn’t use aborted baby tissue cells:

I am not going to use the term fetal tissue today though that is the scientific and medical term. It is very disturbing to me as articles talk about the use of HEK 293 (Human Embryo Kidney tissue from scientific test experiment # 293). They are using aborted baby tissue in scientific research and some articles are saying it is used by companies for research as flavor enhancers of food. We have known for years now that tissue from aborted babies are used in vaccines, unfortunately. Wherever you see HEK 293 know they are referring to Human Embryo Kidney tissue right from a baby that was aborted. This tells us we want to steer away from whatever is being done with it. Here is an article from 1999-almost 20 years ago right after Pres. Bill Clinton signed an order that said that aborted baby tissue could readily be used for research and since then business has increased rapidly in this evil system. This is a BIG business. (note: I have eaten very little today as this just about made me sick to think about).

Senomyx is a US company that contracts with mega food companies to use HEK 293 with food flavor enhancements though they state on their website there is no references to HEK 293. Reporters found references to HEK 293 in the company’s patents, though… a little Googling turned up a patent issued in 2008 for “Recombinant Methods for Expressing a Functional Sweet Taste Receptor,” in which a line item mentions HEK293. Melanie Warner from CBS news found, “All but 7 of the company’s 77 patents refer to the use of HEK 293 (human embryonic kidney) cells, which researchers have used for decades as biological workhorses”.

Dr. Mercola site from 9/1/11: According to the Weston A. Price Foundation: “Senomyx’s salt taste, savory flavor, and sweet flavors — as well as all their other flavor enhancers — are purposefully developed so that they stimulate your taste buds without them actually tasting anything … Much like MSG”

Since they are not actually ingredients but rather ‘enhancers’ they are not required to be listed in a package’s ingredients except as ‘artificial flavors’ … [And] because very small amounts of the additives are used … Senomyx’s chemicals have not undergone the FDA’s usual safety approval process for food additives.

Their products, which are intended to provide enhancements to savory, sweet, and salty flavors, as well as block bitter flavors and provide cooling taste sensations, are being marketed as a way to help companies “improve the nutritional profile of their products and/or achieve a competitive advantage maintaining or enhancing taste.”

Amazingly, these flavor-altering compounds are used in small amounts (less than one part per million), which means companies like Senomyx do not have to go through the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) approval process typically necessary to release food additives. Instead of the lengthy FDA process, the compound only has to be classified as “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS) by the Flavor and Extract Manufacturers Association — a process that can take as little as 18 months, with a mere 3 months of safety testing on rats.

As the New York Times wrote: “Unlike artificial sweeteners, Senomyx’s chemical compounds will not be listed separately on ingredient labels. Instead, they will be lumped into a broad category — “artificial flavors” — already found on most packaged food labels.”

Many food companies have already partnered with Senomyx, so if you think this is a product you won’t come across, think again. Among the food companies working with Senomyx are:

DO WE REALLY WANT ABORTED BABY EMBRYO PARTS USED FOR RESEARCH ON FLAVOR ENHANCERS SO JUNK FOOD WOULD HAVE A BETTER NUTRITIONAL LABEL? Here is another article below.

Biomedical company ProMab Biotechnologies mentions aborted baby tissue in this section: Breakdown of Standard Service by Phase Phase I. Total time = 7-8 weeks ±
Total cost= $4,500
