Psalm 2:11 (KJV): Serve the LORD with FEAR, and rejoice with TREMBLING.

WHY IS FEAR THE BEGINNING OF UNDERSTANDING WITH GOD AND WHY IS IT SO CRITICAL TO FEAR GOD?

GOD will NOT lower HIS standards for anyone–HE IS HOLY–PERFECT–BLAMELESS….

so in order to be near us–GOD has to bring us up to HIS level in order to “commune” with us and to have a relationship with us–which is what HE desires more than anything–

so by FEARING GOD–and thereby pursuing GOD in holiness because …we FEAR HIM–we are giving HIM our love because by respecting GOD–

we can be near HIM and that is HIS greatest desire to have us near HIM for eternity–

but if we do not respect HIM–FEAR HIM–pursuing HIM through holiness–and desire the salvation of CHRIST and the FULLNESS of the HOLY SPIRIT WHO enables us to pursue GOD in holiness–then HE cannot allow us to enter HIS Presence to live with HIM for eternity and the result is losing our companionship for eternity–

FEAR GOD and you will be expressing the greatest act of LOVE and affection for GOD…
