I remember when I was a little girl the LORD Jesus whispered gently to my heart. He said, “Daughter, it’s Me, Jesus, won’t you let me come in the door of your heart?” Of course, I said “yes,” and the adventure of my life began as I walked with the Creator of the universe hand in hand.

Many conversations we have had since I was a little girl, but the one that stood out the most was the one about the frog that I had stabbed in the muddy foundation ditch of my childhood backyard. I don’t know what got a hold of me. I don’t know what came over me because I had such disgust for that frog! I picked up a sharp stick, and I stabbed the frog right through its back into its heart. Within moments a great cloud of doom came over me and then I heard the LORD speaking some pretty harsh words. He was scolding me, loving me, and guiding me in a way that only He could. He said to me, “Daughter, what if that frog were your friend? Would you kill him then?” I told the LORD “No, of course not!” He asked me to repent of my sins, and then he told me that He had forgotten that I killed the frog and to move on never doing it again. I don’t think I have purposely killed any animals since then. (I did hit a goose one day on the way to taking my children to church, but it was an accident. It didn’t count!)

Another conversation I had with the LORD was on my way to track practice one afternoon. The LORD was escorting me and speaking to me about heavenly things. He shared with me that whatever I did down here on earth would be rewarded when I got home to heaven. He basically told me that He was my real estate agent and that He was working on the perfect mansion for me to retire to. Of course, He didn’t use the word “retire, ” and He did not give me the impression that I was going up there for some sort of a fancy vacation. He shared with me that when we get to heaven that it is merely a continuation of the work that we are doing down here, and once we arrive in heaven we will continue on the journey that He has set for each of us.

The LORD has shown me many mysteries concerning my heavenly home, and a sneak peek on a few occasions of some of the perks of being one of His end time’s servants. One day He showed me a massive sized aquarium with a dolphin in it for Brother Seho, and a roller-skating rink and a golf course where the LORD is going to teach me how to golf. He showed me that He will give me fishing lessons too and that He installed a replica of the very same swing that I used as a little girl. The swing that I used to glide on while singing praises to the LORD. The same swing that I was on when the LORD used to whisper the secrets of the universe to me each day.

Another thing the LORD has shown me about heaven is that His mercy endures forever. He showed me my children’s father who was killed in a motorcycle accident a few years ago. He was not a true follower of Jesus, and yet the LORD told me that he did call on His name as he was in the last moments of his life. The LORD told me it was because of the power of a praying wife!…I love sharing this story with my kids!

And finally, I want to share with you one of the mysteries of heaven that many of you may or may not understand. Jesus Christ is the world’s greatest REALTOR that has ever lived! He wasn’t joking when He told His disciples that He had to go to prepare a place for them so that where He was going they could also be! We’re talkin’ bout eternity! Jesus really is all about the decorum and the ambiance! He loves to scan our hearts and make updates and finishing touches. He told me that my mansion is outta sight! It has a library decorated with my children’s artwork, a Jacuzzi (because I seldom have time to pamper myself down here), an arcade with my favorite old school video games, and a lush green garden with prize-winning herbs. I always wanted to have one of those gardens where you have to go through a maze of bushes to get to its center, and when you get to the center, there is a small patio table to read my Bible and have a spot of tea.

He shared with me that there is actually a place in heaven called Hawaii and that the earthly Hawaii is based on the one up there. I could go on and on and on about the perks of serving the LORD and being a true child of the King!

Many people may read this posting and think that it’s all fantasy, but I can assure you that if you meditate on Psalm 37:4, it clearly shows us that “if you delight yourself in the LORD that He will give you the desires of your heart.” His Word doesn’t lie, and He backs up everything in there! So ask the LORD JESUS CHRIST also to help you store up heavenly treasures and to give you the desires of your heart as you strive to live in holiness and repentance every day of your life. He is the greatest realtor of all time, and only He can help you achieve your dreams. By the way, He knows your dreams because He is the One who placed them in your heart in the first place. Shalom.
