CHAPTER 8
Intervention Encounter—1979

This was the first supernatural event after the recurring dream as a baby. I really do not like talking about this one because of what I was involved in. I must admit, though, that even in my sinful ways, Jesus was still there. The year was 1979, and I was residing in California. One day after work, around 1:00 a.m., I drove to the ghetto side of town (the projects) off Soto Street in Los Angeles to score drugs. As I arrived at my destination, this guy approached my window and told me to follow him on foot to where he had the drugs. I followed him as it was just him and me. As he bent down beside a building wall to get the merchandise, I told him, “It better be good.” When he got back up and turned toward me, he had a gun pointed right at me. He said, “Is this good enough?” I replied, “Yes.”

He demanded the money, so I quickly complied. It cost twenty dollars, so I reached into my pocket and pulled out the money. When he looked at the bill, he got a crazy look in his eyes. Instead of a twenty-dollar bill, I had handed him a one-dollar bill. He quickly pointed the gun toward my head this time (I thought I was dead). I raised my hands up to try to cover my head and turned sideways. All of a sudden, I felt like a surge of electricity ran through my entire body. It was like being paralyzed. I could not move, but I could still see him through my fingers covering my face. It happened so quickly. He looked up and behind me. (I was still being held in this supernatural power of some kind.) As I looked at his eyes, his crazy, mean expression turned into one of fear. I will never forget that look he had or the incredible power that held me. His eyes opened so wide, and he said, “I believe in God.” He threw the money back at me and took off running. He kept yelling “I believe in God!” as he disappeared around the corner. I could still faintly hear him repeating “I believe in God.”

As soon as I could not hear him anymore, I was released from my hold. I instantly looked up behind me to see what he was looking at in the sky above me, but I saw nothing up there. I wondered why he said, “I believe in God.” I was so confused at the time. One thing was for sure though, I decided not to get drugs that night.

Now in my later years, I understand what happened. That was to be the beginning of so many more visions and supernatural occurrences for me. I do believe in God! Not only do I believe in God, I know God is Jesus Christ. I can’t wait until the opportunity arises for my wife and me to take a lie detector test on the God-given visions in this book. All glory to God, Jesus Christ!
