All of Humanity Needs the Cross of Christ Jesus
April 21, 2021
It all began in heaven…way in advance…God knew that man would fall into sin way before He ever created us. He created us with free will. His system was set up to fall in order for us to see over and over again of our NEED FOR A SAVIOR. Everything was pointing to the Cross. The first human’s covering made by Father God, the shedding of blood for the atonement of sin in the tabernacle, even Jesus cleansing the temple of it’s filth which also exposed the greed of men. Jesus did it all at the Cross. So why do we need to keep our gaze upon it? Why do we need to be constantly reminded of Christ’s finished work at the Cross? Because we are a fallen people who need something that we could never provide—the perfection of a Savior’s love. His pure grace poured out through His Eternal Blood. His blood will flow forever throughout the universe. He is eternally calling all of His creation to stay close to Him, to His heart, and to focus on His Great Love. We are sinner’s at birth, but we have the hope of heaven through the Cross. A full dependence on Him is required and it is a decision that we must come to on our own free will. So where is your gaze today? When you fall in your flesh or when you make a ridiculous judgment call on another person? Where is your hope when you are grasping on something that satan wants to continually discredit? Where is your hope when your marriage is a wreck or you are addicted to something that you cannot stop?…It’s in Jesus. Jesus and His finished work at the Cross. For you. For me. We are all the same. The ground is flat at the foot of CHRIST’s Almighty Cross.
And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
1 Peter 2:24-25
He himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed. For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
2 Corinthians 5:21
For our sake He made Him to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.
1 Corinthians 1:18
For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
