When you have relational authority you might be in danger of (unknowingly) cursing somebody. Bible teacher Derek Prince takes Jacob’s curse as an example which struck his wife Rachel.
Derek Prince cites examples of people who almost always pronounced curses unknowingly, but always had a very negative effect on the people who were to be cursed by them.
If you say something hard, cruel, unkind or unjustified, a curse may come out with it.
