“I wish to God I’d never married you.” Those were the last words Mia Anderson said to her husband, a pastor, before she died. To everyone at church, Mia was “the pastor’s wife,” a woman with a voice so powerful that people came to the altar in tears when she sang. But behind the pearls and the front pew was another Mia. An angry wife who threw things. A jealous woman who accused her faithful husband. And a married woman texting another man every night while her husband slept beside her. Four hours after those cruel words, Mia sang “I Surrender All” at her church’s mountain retreat. When the song ended, something exploded inside her head. She collapsed in front of the whole church. For 40 minutes and 13 seconds, she was gone. Her own camera recorded all of it. Mia found herself standing before Jesus. He didn’t mention her voice, her career or her title. He called her “Sister Mia,” and then He said one sentence about her husband that put her flat on her face. Then He showed her the 7 marks of a woman who truly belongs to God. A chosen woman. She had been a pastor’s wife for ten years. She couldn’t claim even one.
