“We need Bibles in China. Can you help us?” This was the sad request from a Chinese underground house church leader this morning.
During the meeting this morning, the leader pointed out how there is a big need for Bibles because of the drastic increase of raids on house church meetings in China where countless Bibles have been destroyed.
The number of places to legally purchase Bibles has also drastically decreased and there has been a call for help inside China. “We had a major raid at our Bible school in western China last month.
Our school was shut down, several of our leaders were arrested, and all of our materials were confiscated and destroyed.” When asked if the police also confiscated and destroyed the Bibles, the leader said simply, “yes.”
