Our brothers and sisters in Myanmar face severe persecution from those who oppose their Christian faith. In one village, a man was fined and shackled for three days for buying a banana from a Christian vendor in the market.

After his release, he sought out a pastor, who led the man and two of his friends to faith in Christ. The man then led several other villagers to faith in Christ and invited the pastor to lead a worship service in the village. Angry Buddhist villagers then interrupted the service, severely beating the pastor and throwing stones at the worshipers. But the Christians remained firm in their faith. “As much as I can, I’m sharing the Good News and I will continue to do so,” the man said.
