Power of Water

First let me add that I don’t think it’s by chance that Atlantis sunk to the bottom of the sea, and don’t think for a minute that this was the end of it. This is also where the beast that bred the Merovingian bloodline came from-the waters! So, wicked is the place where these devils reside.

We cannot emphasize enough about the nature of the power in water. It’s importance in creation is beyond our understanding, even scientists are just scraping the ability of this biosphere. Before we were here, there was water.
The body is 70% water.
The Earth is 72% water.
Man must have water to exist.
Water comes in many forms; lakes, rain, moisture, condensation etc…
Even the Bible tells us that the Throne of GOD sits upon the waters! Ps.:2, 10
On the negative side of things, Lucifer was the ruler of earth before the creation of man. He was cast out of the higher heavens, became the ruler of the earth and seas and the outer darkness in this universe. I believe he is limited to these areas. GOD puts a reign on his whereabouts! He is chained, so to speak! Revelation tells us woe to the inhabitants of the earth and sea!!! Rev. 12:12
So why would GOD warn us of such a place if it were not a WARNING to its existence?

With 72% of the earth’s surface covered in water, Satan decided to build his base in the water! Now, of course his powers and principalities originate in the heavens but his operations base is in the waters, here on earth.
And why would Satan do that? Because he counterfeits EVERYTHING which GOD does, and considering the aforementioned Scripture confirms GOD’S Throne is on the waters, Satan has to do the same.

We must not rest in content with having read only a superficial chapter or two, but with the goal of deliberately seeking out the Truth in the Word. The Holy Scripture requires searching and study. And much of it will only be understood by this method for the hidden meanings within it are meant as a mystery unless you are given to passionate study. The door of the Word only opens by the key of diligence.

There is milk for babes, but also meat for strong men!

Spiritual Waters

I believe many things that the Scripture states comes with dual meaning, and one of those is this one:
“Then I stood on the sand of the sea.
And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea,
having seven heads and ten horns, and
on his horns ten crowns, and on
his heads a blasphemous name.”
How does this have a dual meaning?
One; it speaks of a beast coming out of the sea…this could actually be the people of the world. A sea of people.

This gives the truth of where the anti-Christ comes from, and considering this is the body Satan will inhabit, it’s only fitting that he comes out of the sea (waters).
GOD gives us a hint as to why the ‘base’ of Satan’s operation is in the water:

Exodus 7:15 Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river’s brink against he come; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand.

Sounds to me like the Pharaoh went to gain some sort of inspiration (power) from these spirits in the waters, does it not?

Hoaxes & Truth

So, I’ve had many responses in connection to the “Mermaid” article which followed a program about a real find of one of these strange creatures which entitled a cover-up of grand proportions. Well for some it was a mockery…but I believe it to be real. We have those in the occult who don’t want others to know the reality of what really transpires in this world so they cover it up with mockery.
Satan and his kingdom extends well beyond our imagination. We think of it being in this world and that’s it, but it extends into our depths of this earth and its oceans, and well beyond our atmosphere. Unless the natural manifests in conjunction with the supernatural there will always be those who won’t believe in it.

I have learned that mermaids cannot die! So, these programs and pictures of washed up bodies are a hoax. Mermaids are a sect of fallen angels! They are evil, and diabolical. They work in the spiritual realm and just because you’ve never ‘seen’ one does not negate their existence. Nor does the naysayer and his ramblings. They are not just a fairy tale but Disney does use this image to strike curiosity in children for occult purposes.

SATAN’S UNDERWATER KINGDOM
CHILDREN UNDER THE SEA

There are many children in the underwater city. Some of these children belong to witchcraft families. However many of these children are spiritual beings while others are hungry street children that have been captured by Satan’s agents and turned to witchcraft. These are children who been abandoned by their parents and roam the streets. Sadly they are “throwaways” and prime candidates targeted by the witches/wizard to turn them into witches and wizards. The queens of covens and the kings of wizards pick up street children. These poor children are fed potions of human flesh and drink human blood from their witches’ pots. Soon they are captured, enslaved, and brought to the City Under the Sea to be trained as Satan’s agents. Since these children are not born full blood into the craft, they can never rise to the leadership of the powers of darkness. However, they can be trained to be used as Satan’s agents. Once they come to the underwater city, they go through initiation rites chanting and bathing them in blood, using both animal and human sacrifices. Here, human blood is used to appease the demigods. In exchange, they hope to be blessed by these gods with good fortune. They are given small pots, incense burners; special salts or herbs; bells or gongs; tribal drums; animal parts; bones; candles; incense; amulets; talismans; charms. They are taught to practice rituals, such as ESP powers, and talking to the spirits. They have a morbid fascination with the dead or with death. They mar their flesh with self mutilation. They have a fascination with blood, including cutting themselves for marking with tattoos or body paint. These children will show unusual body movements and effects such as twitching, tics, rocking, glazed eyes, head banging, moaning or groaning, chanting. Lack of empathy toward the hurts in other people’s lives. They act cruelly with inhumane acts against people and animals, or acts of vandalism. The demons tell them to give away meals to their relatives to gain demonic power over them. Of course they will put magical potions in these meals. Many times these children are directed to work evil powers against their relatives, sometimes even bringing about death to them to prove their loyalty to Satan. These children are hardened in their hearts and they turn against their mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers and aunties to kill them. It is a chilling story, but true. In Africa, we don’t have kitchens in our churches as the churches in America do. The reason is that witches/wizards sometime try to use evil potions to draw weak people out of the church and into their arms. We are very protective concerning our Christian children. These children that are trained under the sea by demons adopt a philosophy or attitude that shows a reversal of norms; for example, bad is good and good is bad. They have an animosity and cynicism toward Christianity, including God, Jesus Christ, the Bible, the church, pastors, youth leaders, and Christian ideals and ethics. Here is where homeless street children will be trained to become Satan’s agents to steal souls. They are sent into churches to destroy them. Many well-meaning Christians cannot discern the evil nature of these children because they simply see them as children. Notwithstanding, the demons that use the bodies of these children to control them are shrewd. At the same time, these evil demons are under the control of Satan. The demons simply use the bodies of the children to rob, kill and destroy.
The sea children are able to cause great confusion and divisions among the church people. Some of the children from the City Under the Sea are used on the beaches to sell seashells to the tourists from all over the world. The unsuspecting buyer will take these shells home. The demons will attach themselves to these shells. This is a way that Satan can work powers through the shells as a point of contact. He uses them to destroy them and work evil in their homes. They can cause depression, loss of sleep, frequent nightmares, paranoia or excessive fear, restlessness. I know a woman that took a beautiful shell from a child on the beach. She said his eyes had the sunken hollowed look that looked like black endless pools with largely dilated glassy pupils. Then she began to have sexual tormenting dreams. Suddenly, her yard filled with frogs. The Holy Spirit revealed to her to destroy the shell. She did and the dreams disappeared and so did the frogs. Child witches and wizards can also be seen flying at night streaking like fiery rockets in the sky. Sometimes they can be seen whizzing through the night like fireworks. Midday is another dangerous time for a wizard, for then no man can cast a shadow. The superstition is that his soul has temporarily disappeared. A soul and shadow being equal, invisible spirits are looking for an abode. Children are forbidden to play with their shadows by candlelight lest they tie them in knots or lose them. These witchcraft-controlled children each have many snake spirits in their stomachs and these evil spirits are the mediums of their evil assignments. One young boy, seven years old, recently appeared in our church. He had painted his shoes with the mixture of human blood from his victims and a red dye. He confessed that he was the king of wizards of his coven. He told our church that he had five snakes in his stomach, one red, one white, and three black ones. He said that he used these snakes to kill people for his sacrifices. I know that it is hard for a normal mind to believe these things, but I have him confessing this on videotape! Another young girl came into the church. She was nine years old. She told us that she was the Queen of her coven. She told us that she was sent into the church to destroy it. I’ve personally seen many of these agents from under the water in other churches freely working without detection.
Here is an interesting Scripture in this context: “

Though they dig into Scheol, from there shall My hand take them: And though they ascend into heaven, From there shall I bring them down, And though they hide on the summit of Carmel, I will search them out and take them from there: and though they conceal themselves from My sight on the floor of the sea, from there I will command the serpent, and it will bite them . . . ” (Amos 9:2-3).

Here is a Scripture that connects the underworld compartment, Sheol , and the serpent in the bottom of the sea. It was a serpent in the Garden of Eden that ensnared Eve. This same creature is used in (Rev. 20:2), as a description of Satan. The Scripture links sea serpents with Sheol, an underground abode of departed spirits. Even “Sheol ” (Hebrew) means “a place of inquiry” to bring fear into the hearts of men that they would repent “by the storms of life” to the gentle breeze of the Holy Spirit.

Appropriately called, “Aquarius Spirits”, these demons are contacted via witchcraft and occult rituals. GOD tells us about such activity and warns us the outcome is not good.
In Africa where witchcraft is rampant many manifestation of these creatures were seen and is still being seen by those who are bewitched. It is also believed and known among the worshipers of these water spirits that Saturday nights is the time when mermaids in rivers and seas all over the world are most likely to be seen.
They have been exposed and therefore seek to remain to people as a myth. Also because of the prayer of the saints of God their manifestation are not commonly seen, but is still present to those of the Occult. These spirits are call “Nymph” or “Water Nymph” from which we have a sect of spirits called “Naiads” (fresh water spirits) and “oceonide” (ocean spirits)

Nymphs:

Among all the spirits which presides among the corners of the universe, there is a sect called Nymph.

Nymphs are “spirits” and are a member of the class of mythological entities who manifest in the form of human females, and are typically associated with particular locations. There are different types of Nymphs, but there is a set of spirits that I want to discuss here and they are from a class called “Naiads” and “Oceonide”

Naiads are spirits and are called fresh water Nymphs (spirits) or Aquarius spirits and reside in bodies of fresh water like rivers, streams, brooks, springs, fountains, lakes, ponds, wells, and marshes. These spirits are divided into various subclasses: Crinaeae resides in fountains, Pegaeae resides in springs, Eleionomae resides in marshes, Potameides resides in rivers, and Limnades or Limnatides in lakes. It is also said that is associated with rain water, the possesses the and resides in any water, usually salty.

Oceanids are most common to human, for they cause more disaster than the naiads who resides in fresh water. The sea is bigger than fresh water bodies and is the main passage for ships and other water vessels.
The waters over which Naiads presides are thought to be endowed with inspirational, healing, and/or prophetic powers. Thus the Naiads were called water gods and were frequently worshipped by the ancient Greeks. The genealogy of the Naiads was determined by the geographic region and literary source. Naiads were either daughters of Zeus, daughters of various river gods, or simply part of the vast family of the Titan Oceanus or Poseidon (Neptune). Now, as I said before, these Greek gods are not only Greek myths, but are real spirits or Demon princes who take up residential areas to allocate themselves. As much as it is myths to the ignorant persons because of lack of substantial evident that these spirits really exists, yet they are real through experiences by those who are involve in the Occult.

Mami Wata (Mermaid of Africa)

All mermaid spirit are called mother of the water or ocean. According to the African culture of spiritism and witchcraft, a Mermaid spirit resides within the waters of Africa whom they called “Mami Wata,” which is in the corrected English language (Mommy Water or Water Mommy, which is just another way of saying Mommy or Mother of the Water). Mami Wata is a pantheon of water spirits or deities, venerated in West, Central, and Southern Africa, and in the African diaspora in the Caribbean and parts of North and South America.

She is one of the most popular-and powerful-African water spirits or mermaid and is named “Mamba Muntu” which is her personal African name.

Some devotees of the Igbo people of West Africa, and the many who have encountered Mami Wata have reported to anthropologists that she is a mermaid spirit with the upper part of her body as human and her lower parts as a fish or serpent. It is said that she possesses inhuman beauty, unnaturally long hair of three different textures which ranges from straight, curly to kinky, and either black or blonde, and is combed straight back, and a high complexion that’s beyond normal. She is described as having a large snake (which is a symbol of divination or divinity in many African cultures) around her neck, which wraps itself around her, laying its head between her nude breasts.

In one report it is said that Anthropologist, Mary Bastian (1987-88) did a field research in Nigeria on the Onitsha Market System. During this research, it was reported to her that Mami Wata is female, and that she displays her unimaginable wealth of jewelry such as combs, mirrors, and watches, wristwatch, which represent foreign wealth and would blind those who view it.

She is seen with a mirror and a comb and would just sit there seducing men as they past by on the shore. Those who are seduced by her or the other spirits are killed immediately under the water and some would come back as her mediums with special powers and would be use for her evil purpose. She also has other forms, can manifest as a man, or fully human.

Hundreds of years ago, numerous water spirits were said to be living in West Africa and their manifestation to the public were eminent. These African water spirits were most time encountered as snakes or Crocodile, which was not as intriguing, as we know snakes are associated with demons, but were also encountered as half fish and half-human like.

It is also said that this water spirit has a temper and will drown people who does not obey her, and she will cause confusion, sickness etc. Mami Wata has many followers and gives visions to those she calls to serve her as mediums.

In different African religious systems, such as the Voodoo which is highly practiced in the southern parts of Togo and Benin, and Southern Ghana, where there exists an actual consecrated body of pagan priests and priestesses of this water spirit. Today Mami Wata worship is a wide spread tradition in West Africa, the Caribbean and in America.

The Mermaid LaSirèn (Mermaid of Haiti)

This mermaid Demoness is also said to be a powerful water spirit popular in the Caribbean Island of Haiti.
In reality, LaSirèn came from the English word Siren, which is a sect of spirits that is said to be half bird and woman and manifest around water as mermaid and sings very beautifully as to attract humans and destroy sailors.

These Sirenes were said to be manifesting in many areas around the world and was encountered by many. Nevertheless, the name LaSirèn was given specifically to the goddess water spirit of Haiti who is said to be a Mermaid and Queen of the sea. I believe that giving the name LaSirene to this mermaid spirit is a misunderstanding, for many have mistaken Sirenes for actual mermaid because they are similar in beauty and melodies. In Haiti, Voodoo is one of the most popular religions there. Water spirits are said to be manifesting to the voodoo people there as they seeks the help of these spirits from under the water. Followers of LaSirèn say she takes them below the water to her world for 3 days, 3 weeks, months or even years, and when they return to land, they would return with new powers, yea, it is said that some women become Voodoo priestesses this way. She is an elegant, beautiful woman who is a temptress. It is said by the Haitians that LaSirene has the ability to hypnotize people with her beauty. Many say that she is thus deceptive. She rules over dreams and can often be seen there.

The LaSiren or water goddess they claim to worship is thought by some Haitians to be the Mami Wata Mamba Muntu that they knew from their African root worship but with the name LaSiren. Remember that the name “mami wata” or “mother of the water” though given to the African Mermaid Mamba Muntu as a personal name, it is a name for all spirits that are mothers of the waters or mermaids. This water spirit worshipped in Haiti is a Mami Wata and is given the name LaSiren but is not the same spirit worshipped in Africa who in African called Mamba Muntu. Though many may tend to say that Mami Wata is worshipped through out the world, but it is a deception on the part of the worshipers. The concept of the African descendant is this; they thought they are worshiping the Mami Wata that they heard about form back home in Africa, but is actually worshiping other water spirit and not the African one. These spirits take credit for themselves knowing mami wata does not mean a specific spirit, but water spirits in general. This is no mistake why they are given a personal name in various countries. This may seems strange and folklore but these are information from the experiences of those who have been in contact with the spirit world.

The story of the Little Mermaid is believed to be a myth or just a story, but it came from a background of reality. It is no co-incidence why this Olympian god Poseidon or Neptune (Roman) [a Demon Prince] who is said to be the “sea-god” is a Mermaid (Merman). This Little Mermaid cartoon is from a Roman and Greek paganic origin honoring the Olympian gods in different ways and forms. As much as Neptune is said to be a sea god (Demon prince) there are NO spirit that are real gods and goddesses in origin; for there is ONE God who is the LORD of Host, Yahweh, who is the only Living God. Isaiah 44:6, “Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.” Vs.8 “ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.”

All gods apart from God are either false gods (Idols) or Demons who is posing as gods. Therefore, Ariel the Little Mermaid who is the daughter of the Sea god or Sea Demon Neptune would then be a goddess or Demoness. When we take pleasure in movies of this little mermaid and her father Neptune the Sea Demon or any other mermaid, especially those who are formed after one of the Pagan gods, we are opening our lives to rebellion against God. We are not to take pleasure and entertainment by any paganic thing.

Neptune (Poseidon) the Mermaid carries an enchanted trident, and like most sea gods, have the power to transform his shape, and often do so in order to complete a seduction. Seduction is of the Devil which he used from the beginning. He did it to get the angels of God to follow him and to get Eve to fall for his lies.

Sirens

Here, we will look at a set of spirits, which are called “Sirens”. Sirens are also spirits that is said to be creatures like birds with a woman’s head who also resides over water but are not water spirits. These spirits are very dangerous and have throughout the centuries said to have been a nightmare to sailors especially in the southwestern coast of Italy. These spirits are skillful in singing and usually sing to lure sailors and other passing by as to do harm. These are most of the times seen as women with tale as a fish, combing their hair either on a rock, seashore or in the water. These are not mermaids. It as also reported that there were three dangerous bird-women, portrayed as seductresses, who lived on an island called Sirenum scopuli.

(In the Greek mythology, the Sirenum scopuli were three small rocky islands where the Sirens lived and lured sailors to their deaths. According to the Greek writer, they were between Aeaea and the rock of Scylla which is named after (a legendary sea monster) in the Tyrrhenian Sea, off the coast of southwestern Italy. )

Similarly, it was also said in other versions of the myth that Anthemoessa (or Anthemusa) was the island home of the Sirens, who stayed on the island as they awaited passing ships. The names of these no longer exist.)

According as it is said about the locations, it was said that cliffs and rocks surrounded it. Sailors who sailed by were killed through shipwreck on the rocky coast by the Sirens’ as they peeped to gave at the location of the enchanting music and voices to. These spirits lured mariners yet they were not water spirit or Naiads in origin.

This picture is one of the photos taken from a shrine of Ashteroth, who is believed to be one of the Sirens. Here you will notice the half-female half bird. In comparism, it is the same image as the image of the Siren, which was found on funerary monument on the Island of Manara.

The Mermaid Yemaya (Caribbean Mermaid)

Yemaya’s is also a Mermaid similar to the Mermaid in Haiti called LaSirene. Yemaya is an orisha, (goddess) in the Yoruba religion. An Orisha is a spirit which reflects one of the manifestations of Olodumare (God) in the Yoruba spiritual or religious system. The Yoruba (Yorùbá are a large ethnic group in Africa.)

Yemaya is being worship in the Caribbean by afro-Caribbeans, in Brazil by Afro-Brazilian and in Africa.

In Brazilian Candomblé, she is known as Yemanja or Imanje. Her feast night is held on Saturday night which is the time when mermaids in rivers and seas all over the World are most likely to be seen. Yemanja has been discovered in the Occultic world to be a beautiful creature with the powers of a constant wave-like movement and is surrounded by lesser mermaids, mermen, fish and other marine life, and is pictured as a Mermaid Queen holding a mirror while standing between the Sun and the Moon. Whenever she dances, there would always be a snake wrapped around her arm; as I said, serpents represent Demons. Also remember brethren, this may seems strange and folklore but these are information from the experiences of those who have been in contact with the spirit world.

This sea goddess (demon) is having ceremonies made to her through out the year. These days are revealed as January 1st, June 22nd, September 7th and 9th, October 26thand December 31st. In the northeastern Brazilian coastline, her greatest ceremony is being held on February 2nd where her so-called children or cults call upon her in the greatest number. In Haitian Voodoo, she is worshipped as a Moon-goddess, and is said to be associated with the mermaid-spirits of La-Sirenn. This Mermaid is popular, for in lineages they are practiced throughout areas of Brazil, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, the United States, Mexico and Venezuela.

The “Queen of India’s sea” is said to be the head of Marine kingdom, while the “Queen of the Coast” is next in command and resides within the Atlantic Ocean. It is said that both are also among the fallen angels.
To expound on the Marine kingdom of Satan: This is a highly organized and strategized place where high technological equipments are used by high ranking Satanists who are psychiatrists and scientists, who work in labs tirelessly to design beautiful but seductive things.
The things that are designed in that spirit world are said to be latest weapons, perfumes, assorted types of cosmetics, flashy cars, different designs of electronics, etc. Many perfumes to lure men and women, underwear and sexy clothing to seduce and distract men are also made there. These things are use on earth to supply people who have signed a contract with Satan – sale and prosperity for a soul in return. These things are also given to most of the workers of the Occult for the sole purpose to distract people from Jesus Christ.
It is said that there are people (sorcerers, wizards, and magicians), who have powers due to their influence over demonic beings to have them adapt to an underwater atmosphere.
This makes total sense when you think of the things which the fallen angels originally brought to man long ago; makeup, jewelry, weapons, plants into drugs…etc…

Kelpie: Malevolent Sea Horse

The kelpie was a malevolent creature, a shape shifter that could take on the appearance of a man but most often appeared in the form of a fine horse with a silken coat and gleaming eyes. The telltale difference between this supernatural creature and its earthly lookalike was the kelp or rushes clinging to its mane. To see a kelpie was an omen of death by drowning; to meet one might mean instant death.
The kelpie’s malevolent behavior took a number of forms. Most commonly, it would lurk near docks or ferries, in the form of a lovely horse. A passerby foolish enough to attempt a ride on the horse would find himself stuck tight as the kelpie returned to the water, drowning the unfortunate victim and devouring him. This wasn’t the kelpie’s only trick, however. If a potential victim chanced by on horseback, it might take the form of a hideous old man, leaping onto the saddle. The kelpie also liked to appear as a handsome young man and seduce young women to their deaths.
One could capture a kelpie and put him to work. If one was clever enough and quick enough, a harness could be tossed over a kelpie’s neck, rendering it docile, after which it was reputed to make an exceptionally strong workhorse.
The water horse is a very ancient motif in Celtic territories that may have originated in the ancient horse cults of Celtic Europe. Early images of water horses appear to have been benign in aspect and are related to water deities such as Manannan mac Lir.
A Scottish variation of the Kelpie was the shellycoat, so called for the shells and seaweed that dangled from his mane. The shellycoat was of malevolent character but not as evil as the kelpie. The shellycoat’s favorite prank was to mimic the cries of a drowning person, distracting travelers who would frantically search for a crying victim but, after finally reaching the source of the cries, would discover only a hysterically laughing phantom.

The Pooka

The pooka (or sometimes phooka) is an obvious relation to the kelpie. Like the kelpie, he appears as a horse, usually a colt, but can also be spotted in the form of a goat, dog, or rabbit. Sometimes he appears as a wizened goblin. He typically has heavy chains hung round the neck and hangs about on the edges of marshes and lakes. Like the kelpie, the pooka enjoys luring mortals and leaping astride riders’ horses, but unlike the kelpie, the pooka is in it for fun, and usually the victim of his pranks comes to no harm.
In the classic Jimmy Stewart movie Harvey, the titular character is a pooka, a great rabbit only Stewart’s character is able to see.
That is not to say the pooka is a harmless creature. He has been known to roam the countryside at night, destroying crops, scattering livestock, and souring milk. It is traditional for Irish farmers to leave a portion of their crops behind after harvest for the pooka, in order to be spared his mischief. The pooka’s special night is at Samhain, when special precautions must be taken to prevent mischief from befalling one’s household.
Many a human reported being ridden by the capricious pooka, but only one man was ever known to have returned the insult. This was the legendary Brian Boru, the greatest of the high kings of Ireland. Brian accomplished this feat by stealing three hairs from the pooka’s tail, with which he wove a bridle that he was able to use to control the magical creature. The king rode the horse to exhaustion, after which the pooka agreed not to destroy the property of good Christians or to attack Irishmen unless they were intoxicated. The pooka, being what he was, of course ignored his promise, but he does seem to have a preference for drunks.

Headless Horseman: The Dullachan

The notion of capricious rides doesn’t end with magical horses. The Irish dullachan is the original headless horseman, a wild spectral rider that haunts the countryside, carrying his severed head under one arm as he rides. The head is not useless but is gifted instead with supernatural sight, allowing the phantom to see for miles. Woe to anyone who happens to be near, because when the dullachan reins his horse, it is certain that someone nearby will die. The dullachan’s visit is unpleasant for anyone who attempts to thwart his mission as well, for they often find themselves doused with a bucket of blood.

Selkies: the Seal People

Selkies (“seals”) are the mysterious sea people who inhabit the waters around the Orkney and Shetland isles. The selkies are a type of trow who take the form of seals and live in caverns underwater. Selkies, like most trows, can leave their animal forms on land and have even been known to take human spouses.
Irish and Scottish folklore is filled with stories of humans who take selkie spouses. In most, it is a sort of involuntary enslavement, wherein the would-be husband gains a selkie bride by stealing her sealskin and concealing it so that she may not return to sea. On other occasions, a selkie may fall in love with a human of its own accord, but such love matches are said to be doomed to tragedy. Eventually, selkies must succumb to the lure of their former home, after which they can never return.
A common legend regarding the selkies claims they are fallen angels; specifically, they are angels unwelcome in heaven but too pure for hell, thus doomed to haunt the coastline in their tragic animal skins. They are also sometimes said to be the transformed souls of the drowned.
Selkie men are another matter. Unlike selkie females, who often must be tricked or captured, male selkies have been known to conceal their own skins in order to seek out human lovers. A woman who wished to attract a selkie would do so by shedding seven tears into the ocean. Women who drowned or disappeared were often said to have been spirited away by selkie lovers.
Causing harm to one of the selkie folk was to be assiduously avoided, as the death of a selkie is believed to cause furious storms at sea. The selkies are also known as roane, or seals.

Merrows: The Irish Mermaid

The merrow is the Gaelic variety of the mermaid: human from the waist up, with the torso and lower body of a fish. Celtic mermaids were quite lovely and are usually depicted preening with a mirror and comb. The Celtic merman, on the other hand, fares nowhere near as well, being hideously gnarled, with razor-sharp teeth and green-hued skin.
Merrows, like other supernatural sea creatures, can become espoused to humans, either by love or by trickery. To take a mermaid spouse, one must steal his or her magical feathered cap, or cohuleen druith, without which the merrow is unable to travel under the waves. The trapped creature would then be forced to agree to remain, in hopes of retrieving this magical possession.
